VFW Post 3088 is Proud to participate in the parade and festivities in Jacksonport on Memorial Day.

Buddy Poppies

From its inception, the Buddy Poppy Program has helped the VFW live up to its motto, "to honor the dead by helping the living." The Buddy Poppy - small red flower symbolic of the blood shed in World War I by millions of Allied soldiers in defense of freedom - was originally sold to provide relief for the people of wardevastated France. Later, its sale directly benefited thousands of disabled and down-and-out American veterans.

Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

  • VFW District 8 Commander Ken Corry and De Pere VFW Post 2113 Commander Pat Moran are hosting a military honors training om May 6th at the comfort suites hotel and rock garden club confrence rooms from 9:30 until 11;30.  All VFW members are encouraged to attend as we aim to encrease the number of members trained for this honor. Let Bill Graf know by april 13th if you would like to attend. 920-743-7688 or billnmary@charter.net                                                     
  • We have located a supplier for our winter and summer jackets, if you need a VFW jacket or hat let Bill know your size and he will order them.
  •  We have resumed regular meetings the second Thursday of each month at 6PM

November 2022 letter

Our Post Member Jacob VandenPlas, who organized and leads the "DC Farm For Vets" has invited all veterans and their families to a holiday dinner in the hall behind Schmidtz insutance. 7153 Hwy on December 3rd at Noon. Please RSVP no later than December 26th to 42/57jake@dcfarmforvets.org or 920-604-4074 Our Post Christmas party will be held thursday December 8th at The Lodge at Laethem Smith for all members and their guests. Non-Post members that helped with the poppy drive will be our invited guests. Happy hour will be from 4 to 6 Pm. A family style dinner will be served at 6PM Please RSVP by December 1st to billnmarygraf@charter.net or 920-743-7688 with your choice of baked ham or beef tips.
